Kilmarnock has signed St Mirren captain Mark O'Hara on a two-year deal. The 30-year-old midfielder returns to his boyhood club, where he began his career, after four years with St Mirren.
What happened?
O'Hara scored 25 goals in 142 appearances for St Mirren and helped the club achieve three top-six finishes, European football, and last season's League Cup win. He started his career with Kilmarnock's youth academy and made 87 appearances for the first team before joining Dundee in 2016.
Why it matters for Kilmarnock
The signing of O'Hara is a significant boost to Kilmarnock's midfield, and his leadership skills will be valuable to the team. Head coach Neil McCann, who worked with O'Hara at Dundee, said, "He's an important signing for the team. As St Mirren's captain, he brings leadership skills."
