Kilmarnock's David Watson has signed with Bolton Wanderers on a three-year deal, the club announced on June 1, 2026. The 21-year-old midfielder's contract with Kilmarnock expires this month. Watson joined his hometown club at the age of seven and made his first-team debut at 16. He went on to make 140 senior appearances, scoring 13 goals. The move will be completed when the summer transfer window opens on June 15, subject to international clearance. Watson expressed his excitement about the new challenge, saying, 'It's a different challenge for me. I'm really looking forward to it and I can't wait to get started.' He also praised Kilmarnock, stating, 'Kilmarnock will always have a special place in my heart. I loved every minute of being there, but I just felt it was time for me to move on and go and do something different, so I'm really excited to get going.'
