Kilmarnock is experiencing a major overhaul as captain Brad Lyons leaves the club after a five-year tenure. The club has confirmed that Lyons, who joined Kilmarnock in 2021 from Blackburn, made 156 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing four assists. His leadership was recognized when he was appointed captain at the start of the current season, during which he made 36 appearances across all competitions. Alongside Lyons, 12 other players are also departing Rugby Park as their contracts expire. This includes Robby McCrorie, Lewis Mayo, Matthew Kennedy, David Watson, Kyle Magennis, Bruce Anderson, Marley Watkins, Kian Leslie, Zander Craik, Liam Polworth, Duncan Barlow, Ethan Mersey, and Aaron Tshibola. Additionally, Zac Williams, Findlay Curtis, and goalkeeper Kelle Roos will return to their parent clubs following the end of their loan spells. This significant turnover marks a new chapter for Kilmarnock as they look to rebuild for the upcoming season.
