Kilmarnock have appointed Neil McCann as their new manager, replacing Stuart Kettlewell who was sacked after six wins in 25 games. McCann joins the club on a contract until the summer of 2028, alongside assistant Billy Dodds. The pair have previously worked together at Rangers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Kilmarnock are currently second bottom in the Scottish Premiership and visit Livingston on Saturday. The club's board of directors said they have complete faith in McCann and Dodds to keep the club competing in the Scottish Premiership. McCann and Dodds know the Scottish league inside out and share a vision that aligns strongly with the culture and values of Kilmarnock Football Club. The appointment is a significant one for Kilmarnock FC and the players will adapt quickly to their leadership. Several new faces are required if Kilmarnock want to stay up and decent quality is needed rather than some journeymen. Good luck to the new management team and a win at Livingston on Saturday would be the perfect tonic. Kris Doolan's interim reign ended without a victory and Kilmarnock looked like relegation fodder last weekend as Hibs briefly got out of second gear to brush them aside. There was a 15-minute spell in the second half when it looked like Kilmarnock might get something from the game but their lack of quality and rock-bottom confidence is there for all to see. Every game is massive when you are in 11th place but the trip to Livingston is your archetypal six-pointer.
